Cebu Tours PH now offers a tour package that will allow you to visit the famous Simala Shrine in Sibonga Cebu which is considered by Roman Catholics as the Miraculous Mama Mary Church or “Birhen sa Simala”. The place is called Monastery of the Holy Eucharist, though this is not the oldest church in Cebu, but it is very well known Catholic church throughout the island because of the Miraculous Mama Mary. For so many devotees in Cebu, this is also considered as the solemn place to reflect. A very beautiful and big church located 56 kilometers from the city center. Travel time will take one hour and thirty minutes (1.5 hours) depending on the traffic situation.
After Simala church, you will still have time to spend to visit the top tourist destination in the city which includes the famous Fort San Pedro, which is a military defense structure in Cebu built in 1565. Another destination in this package that you will be able to visit is the famous landmark of Cebu, the Magellan’s cross and the adjacent Basilica Minore del Sto Niño. To add, this package will also give you time to visit the famous Chinese temple in Cebu, the Taoist Temple, which was built way back 1972 by the Cebu’s substantial Chinese community.
This package is different from our Twin City Tour Package with Uphill considering the locations of the destinations where it includes Mactan area and the Cebu downtown historical sites. So, if you want to learn more about the countryside of Cebu and Mactan, then you better book this Twin City Tour package with Uphill destinations instead.
